(1) The forwarded mail below contains information on a half-hour NBC
program that will air in the Bay Area on 12/28. It's got DSH in it :)
(2) The following links contain pointers to press coverage and other
materials (videos, pictures, etc). (It could be useful fodder for
some of you in your reports or what not :) A few other straggler
press items are still in the pipeline.

(3) Perhaps I can share with you just one example of the aftermath of
the Tech Awards. People from the Sahara Welfare Foundation read about
DSH's win in a local newspaper. The next day, a bunch of their senior
managers piled into a car headed to one of our schools. We didn't
even know about it; so it's just another normal day at school. The
visitors didn't even know the exact address of the school---they just
headed in the general direction of the rural district and asked for
directions to the village named in the newspaper at a railroad
junction. Impressed by what they saw, they set up a meeting with us
just a few days later. We're in the midst of discussing a joint
venture for slums in Lucknow. (I told them I was overwhelmed by their
amazing pro-active drive :)
As an aftermath of meeting you guys in the Bay Area recently, a bunch
of you (newly added to the mailing list) are also plotting various
ways to help DSH. There's the Stanford graduate with an impeccable
academic record considering giving up a cushy job and coming to cow
town. There's the device buff planning to raise money and coming here
to explore ways of working together. There's a lot more. We shall
keep you anonymous for now :) Pardon me for being lazy and not
writing it all down in detail :) We'll talk about them later on the
mailing list when things really get off the ground :)
(4) BTW, if you happen to know someone who's traveling to India in the
next couple weeks and is willing to take a video device for us, please
let me know. Its dimensions are: 12.125" (W) x 2.5" (H) x 9.5" (D).
(http://www.sysmaster.com/products/digital_media_center_pc.php) We've
had a lot of trouble with the Indian customs before when trying to
ship devices.
Happy Holidays!
Randy
